Unser Ehrenmitglied Frau Dr.in Traudl Szyszkowitz ist seit 20 Jahren auch im Europäischen Verband für Psychotherapie (EAP) aktiv. Dort lernte sie Adrian Rhodes kennen, der auch für 2 Jahre Präsident des EAP war. Sie hörte dort seinen Vortrag über seine Tätigkeit sowohl als Canon (Laienpriester) als auch als Psychotherapeut, wobei die Idee ihn nach Graz einzuladen entstand. Frau Dr.in Szyszkowitz ist auch in der Evangelischen Heilandskirche sehr engagiert und hat Adrian gebeten seinen Vortag in den Räumlichkeiten der Kirche zu halten.

Kurzbiographie des Referenten:
I was born and brought up in Oldham - a town on the outskirts of Manchester.
I have spent nearly all my life in to around Manchester.
Ordained priest in 1973 and worked largely in hospital chaplaincy for 25 years*.
I trained a a group and individual psychoanalytic psychotherapist in the 80’s and early 90’s.
I worked for 25 years* in the National Health Service as a psychotherapist, working largely with people with personality disorders.
Retired from the NHS in 2015 and I now work in private practice.
I was made an ‘Honorary Canon’ of Manchester Cathedral for my services to psychotherapy.
I am technically retired as a clergyman - but I’m still on the team of clergy at Manchester Cathedral.
In my spare time (!) I do a lot of beekeeping.
I keep hives at home - but also on the roofs of Manchester Cathedral and another building in Manchester.
This is part of a project for unemployed people.
